Nestled in a community that fits just right in, yup in a Guatemalan community in Lake Worth! This restaurant will transport you to Guatemala, a huge mural with Antigua Guatemala images depicted in the back.... if you look closely on the mural even the national bird is depicted - the Quetzal. Even the national instrument of Guatemala is on display, the Marimba. The marimba is a type of xylophone with resonators underneath (with different sizes) and different sized wooden keys, the origins date back to 1680 when it was used for celebrations. And to this date it is still used! The food is authentic Guatemalan, with cooks from this country you can definitely taste it is real. Although the food did arrive to our table cold - room temperature, but the flavor was really good. From the Seafood Soup, Jocon, Pork Ribs and Cow Tongue everything tasted authentic. Service is very friendly, you're better off ordering in spanish rather than in english! They should open a location further south in FL!!

We stopped by here when we went to Lake Worth for their Street Painting Festival (which is highly recommended if you've never experienced it). It's actually a little out of the way but not more than a 10 min walk from the city hall. We won't have come if not for the recommendation of my cousin, who's from Guatemala. If she says it's authentic and good, it must be. Lacking point of reference for authenticity, I can only praise about how delicious and fresh everything is. The waitress didn't speak much English, but the menu is bilingual and the owner came and helped with our ordering. The Hen Stew was delicious, and the Costilla Adobada (marinated ribs) is tender and meaty, they definitely beat out most BBQ places in S Florida. The seafood soup has a whole crab in it, along with fish, squid, mussels, shrimp and more. Even the tortilla and black beans are well made. I also tried the nance juice for the first time. A little sweet and reminiscent of lychee and pineapple. The food was so delicious we almost decided to come back for dinner.

Authentic Guatemalan food!! I can honestly say that this is the BEST Latin food I've had in Florida thus far when considering service, price, and flavor. SERVICE: -warmly greeted -constantly checked on - recommendations made by our server Lily - when checking out, we were asked about our experience and further recommendations were made for next time - told us about upcoming events PRICE: -unbeatable prices - we had a table of food for under $100 FLAVOR: - authentic seasonings and preparation - food was served hot and fresh - condiments complimented the dishes - so delicious Overall: This is my new favorite! I highly recommend El Pueblo Capin

I've passed by this place 1 million times, but for some reason never visited. That's to come my friend suggested we go there and I figured "why not?". The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, beautifully decorated with a large mural on one of the walls. I started off with an atol de elote, which brought me back to Guatemala immediately. Atoles are like drinkable porridge, this one with whole pieces of corn kernels and whole cinnamon. I also enjoyed un jugo de Maracuyá (passionfruit juice). The main was pretty freaking awesome - a well-cooked steak (carne asada) with really thick tortillas, again just as I remember them from Guatemala. Our table also enjoyed maduros (sweet plantains) and tostadas. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was awesome. I will definitely be back soon.
